Harbhajan Singh, the veteran off-spinner, announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on Friday, after a 23-year career.

Hinting to join politics, Singh said, “I know politicians from every party. I’ll make an announcement beforehand if I’ll join any party. Will serve Punjab, maybe via politics or something else.”

Harbhajan may soon join the Congress party, according to Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu’s recent tweet. “Picture loaded with possibilities…. With Bhajji the shining star,” he tweeted along with a photo of Harbhajan.

When asked about the tweet, Sidhu stated that the image tells it all and is full of potential.
