Heavy police from Rupnagar hastened to the spot after the protesters gheraoed her car. Ranaut, who claimed that the mob hurled abuses and issued death threats, spoke to some protesting women. She even compared one of the female protesters to her mother. “I studied in Punjab. You are like my mother,” she said in a video, which she posted on Instagram story.

Kangana alleged that the incident is the result of the politics, which are being played in her name.

“In this country, this kind of mob lynching is happening openly. If I would not be having security with me, what situation would be there, what would happen? The situation here is unbelievable,” she was quoted as saying by PTI.

The protested her car to proceed after the police officers persuaded them.
