‘Continuous work is being done to secure the future of daughters’
Modi said, “Our own government has made a law against ‘triple talaq’ to save Muslim sisters from atrocities. Without any discrimination and favoritism, the government of ‘Double Engine’ is working relentlessly to secure the future of the daughters. The Prime Minister said that under the Swamitva scheme, property papers are being given to the owner of the house by taking drone photographs of the houses across the country, in which priority is being given to the women of the houses. He said that women are also being made equal partners for employment and out of the total loans received under Mudra Yojana, about 70 percent loans have been given to women.
Rs 1,000 crore transferred to accounts of two lakh women
He said that Self Help Groups are actually National Help Groups. The Prime Minister transferred an amount of Rs 1,000 crore to the accounts of two lakh women belonging to 1,60,000 self-help groups here. Along with this, an amount of more than 20 crore rupees was transferred in the account of one lakh one thousand beneficiaries under the Chief Minister Sumangala Yojana. On this occasion, the Prime Minister also inaugurated 202 ‘Take Home Ration Plants’ for 45 districts of the state.
‘The whole country is watching the work done for the empowerment of women’
Before his address, the Prime Minister interacted with BC (Banking Correspondent) sakhis, women of self-help groups and beneficiaries of Kanya Sumangala Yojana. Referring to this conversation, he said, “We have a saying here that to prove what is evident, proof is not needed.” He said that the work that has been done for the development and empowerment of women in Uttar Pradesh is being watched by the whole country. He said that the sex ratio has improved a lot in the state due to Sumangala Yojana.
The Prime Minister said, “Maternal health in poor families has been a cause of concern. Under the Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana, Rs 5,000 is deposited in the account of women during pregnancy so that women can take proper care of their health during pregnancy. So far, about Rs 10,000 crore has been given to more than two crore sisters.
