Priyanka Nair (born 30 June 1985) is an Indian model who is now an actress, and who performs in the Malayalam film industry. Her debut came with the Tamil film Veyyil in 2006. She received praise from critics for her performances as a character in Bhoomi – Malayalam, Vilapangalkappuram and Jalam. Priyanka Nair : Life Story & Journey So Far
Priyanka was able to complete her Higher Secondary School Certificate studies and was a student of Physics at the Mar Ivanios College, Trivandrum. In that period, she was acting in a variety of Malayalam TV shows, such as Umakkuyil, Megham and Akashadoothu. She viewed the role of acting in serials to be “just time pass” and added that she had never planned to be a film actor and instead was looking to become a lecturer. Did you know that, Priyanka was married to Tamil film director and actor Lawrence Ram on 23 May 2012 at Attukal Temple iThiruvananthapuram. They have a son Mukund Ram, born on 18 May 2013. The couple filed for a divorce in 2015.
She made her feature film debut in the Vasanthabalan-directed Tamil drama film Veyyil (2006) that was produced by director Shankar, in which she starred along with Pasupathy. Her first Malayalam film , Kichamani MBA Kichamani MBA (2007) which featured her in a minor role. In the following year, she appeared in T. V. Chandran’s Vilapangalkkappuram alongside Suhasini along with Biju Menon. Her performance won them an award called the Kerala State Film Award for the Best Actress. The following year, Rediff named her the best Malayalam actress in 2009, noting that she “came up with an amazing performance“. She gained fame after her role as Mohanlal In Ividam Swargamanu. Priyanka enjoys the ride on with her Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle.
