New Delhi: The key Indian equity benchmarks on Monday started trading on a lower note, mostly due to global cues.
The BSE Sensex slumped over 200 points in opening trade on Monday, tracking losses in index majors Wipro, Bajaj Finserv, and Infosys amid a largely negative trend in global markets. Besides, unabated foreign fund outflows also put pressure on domestic equities, traders said.
As of 12:40 pm, the 30-share BSE Sensex pack was down 1,238 points at 57,798 and the broader NSE Nifty slumped 380 points to 17,236.
This is a developing story…
