New Delhi: Terrorists killed a civilian and a policeman in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday in two separate incidents.

While the civilian, Rouf Ahmad, was shot in Nawakadal locality of Srinagar, terrorists opened fire on a police assistant sub-inspector (ASI) in Bijbehara area of ​​the south Kashmir’s Anantnag district. The ASI, identified as Mohammad Ashraf, succumbed to his injuries at Bijbehara hospital.

Taking to Twitter, Kashmir Police said, “Injured ASI Mohd Ashraf succumbed to his injuries & attained martyrdom, We stand by his family at this critical juncture.”

“At about 6 pm, terrorists fired at and critically injured a civilian namely Rouf Ahmad near his residence in Nawakadal area of ​​Srinagar,” Kashmir Police said. Rouf Ahmad was shifted to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
