In the ICC U19 World Cup 2022, the Indian team won three consecutive matches and made it to the Super League quarterfinal round where it will face defending champion Bangladesh. This match will be played on 29 January at Coolidge Cricket Ground, Antigua.

Four-time champions India entered the Super League stages without a loss, finished top of Group B after winning all three of their matches and are set to take on last season’s winners Bangladesh.

Vishal’s centuries from Raj Bawa and Angkrish Raghuvanshi ended the group format with a mammoth 326-run win over Uganda as India already beat South Africa and Ireland.

Bangladesh’s path was not that smooth, with defending 2020 champions England finishing second in Group A after losing their first game. An eight-wicket win over Canada was followed by a nine-wicket win (DLS) in the rain. The game against UAE was interrupted to set up a rematch of the final two years earlier.

India will look to avenge the defeat in 2020, with Bangladesh finding their strides at the right time to set the stage for a deeper competition. Like India, England have also reached the Super League stage with a clean sweep, followed by 106 and 189-run wins over Bangladesh and Canada and the United Arab Emirates respectively.

Tom Purst led England on all fronts, scoring 93 and 154 not out in their last two matches, with Group B runners-up South Africa in the last eight.
