Indian Army Helicopter Crashes In Tamil Nadu’s Nilgiris, Senior Officers On Board


Chennai: An Indian Army helicopter with senior defense officials crashed in Coonoor of Tamil Nadu. The preliminary visuals from the spot shows a helicopter burning amidst the bushes in the Nilgiris forest region. The fire personnel and other officials have been hastened to service.

The helicopter accident took place due to fog, said sources. The helicopter started from Sulur of Coimbatore district to Wellington of Tamil Nadu. The district officials are yet to provide details of the accident. There is no official confirmation from the Indian Army yet.

According to unconfirmed reports, CDS Bipin Rawat was among the officers on board the chopper
