Why Is BJP Shying Away From Giving Ticket To Mulayam Singh Yadav’s Daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav ANN

Lucknow: Mulayam Singh Yadav’s younger son Prateek Yadav’s wife Aparna Yadav has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) weeks ahead of the much crucial Uttar Prades Assembly Elections.

BJP has welcomed Aparna with a special induction session at party headquarters, but the party does not want to give her a ticket. As per reports, the saffron party wants her to work in the organization and may later send her to the Legislative Council post the elections.

As soon as Aparna Yadav joined the BJP, she took a jibe at the Samajwadi Party (SP) and said that Akhilesh Yadav has failed as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

“Under the SP rule, hooliganism is so much rampant that the women did not feel secure. As soon as it was dusk the doors of the houses would be shut. Akhilesh ji has failed as the Chief Minister of the state and has also failed in the family. And that is why he is also avoiding contesting assembly elections,” Aparna said.

BJP Hesitant In Giving Ticket To Aparna

It is learn that Aparna is seeking a ticket from Lucknow Cantt assembly seat, however, the BJP leadership has clarified that there is no pre-condition for joining. Aparna had unsuccessfully contested the 2017 polls against BJP Rita Bahuguna Joshi from this seat.

BJP is shying away from giving an assembly ticket to Aparna because if it does, a message will be sent that Akhilesh had given ticket to Aparna in 2017 polls, but did not give it this time and therefore she joined the saffron-clad.

Lucknow Cantt BJP’s Stronghold Since 1993

In 2012 Assembly Polls, Rita Bahuguna Joshi won the seat on a Congress ticket and then in 2017 again she registered a win under BJP and defeated then Samajwadi Party candidate Aparna Yadav by nearly 35,000 votes. This time Aparna wants to contest from the same seat.

Despite her association with the Yadav family and SP, Aparna had on many instances praised Yogi Adityanath and Narendra Modi in the past. Originally from Uttarakhand, Aparna has been seen with Yogi Adityanath on several instances.

“I am always influenced by the Prime Minister and spoke about Swachh Bharat Mission or works done to empower women. For me nation is priority and now started a journey on the path of nation-building,” Aparna said soon after joining the BJP.
